In a move that shocked almost no one, Mike Keenan was relieved of his position of Head Coach for the Calgary Flames.

As he had once sported the mighty Spoked-B (albeit as a coach) I feel it only fitting to type up some remembrance of those bizarre times from when "Iron Mike" was the long-term substitute teacher equivalent for the Bruins.

...and what a strange equivalent he was.

Pat Burns started the season as Bruins coach, and anyone with eyes and ears could see how it was going to finish up.

Burns had been butting head with Mike O'Connell for a while now over the quality of player available on the roster vs. the style of play that Bruins management wanted to see.
