Pat Quinn, Tom Renney to Join Forces and Coach the Edmonton Oilers

According to TSN's Darren Dreger, it appears former Maple Leafs coach Pat Quinn is set to be reintroduced to the world of the National Hockey League.

Dreger, citing sources, says that the Oilers have sent out a press release promising a major announcement at a 12 noon press conference. It is expected that is where they will announce their new coaching staff.

Quinn's last gig was coaching Canada's World Junior team to gold in Ottawa this past Christmas time. Tom Renney was fired late in the season by the New York Rangers.

Dreger has speculated that Quinn will likely be the head coach for now, with Renney as an assistant. It is expected should Quinn decide to retire within the next three to five years, Renn...
