Pronger Traded to the Kings

BREAKING NEWS:  Chris Pronger of the Anaheim Ducks was traded to the Los Angeles Kings for Jack Johnson (third overall in 2005) and the Kings' fifth overall pick in this year's NHL draft.

Pronger is a veteran workhorse who has scored 10 or more goals eight out of fifteen seasons. Last season he played in all 82 games, while registering 11 goals and 37 assists.

He's a former Norris Trophy and Stanley Cup winning defenseman, and he's exactly what the Kings need: A marquee player and a leader. Look for the Kings to make an improvement in the next two seasons.
