Red Wings-Penguins: Detroit Leads 1-0—No Need for Panic, Pittsburgh

The Penguins lost their first game to the defending Stanley Cup Champions, the Detroit Red Wings. The score was 3-1 and, unlike Game One in 2008, most people have rated it an extremely even match decided by bounces.

With Detroit leading the series 1-0, now is not the time to panic.

In round one of this year, the home team won the first game in six out of eight series.

Carolina managed to split the first two games in New Jersey and went on to beat the higher seeded club in seven games.  

Anaheim proved to be the giant killers, taking the first two games at San Jose and knocking out the number one seed in six games.
