Scott Walker Has a Lot on His Mind

Carolina Hurricanes, game 7 hero Scott Walker can be excused if he has more than hockey on his mind heading into the Eastern Conference finals against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The scrappy forward scored a game 7 overtime goal, his fifth of the playoffs, to knock out the first seeded Boston Bruins, but had his world rocked when it was revealed that his wife Julie has cervical cancer. Even though she will require surgery, a Hurricanes spokesman said that the cancer is at an early stages. He also stressed that the odds are great for a full recovery.
