Simeon Varlamov Should Be a Hero in Washington

Lost in all the thrill of the Caps' opening-round victory was the play of Simeon Varlamov. 

In Game Five, he pitched a shutout and only got the third star of the game. 

One of the youngest goalies to shut out the Rangers in the Garden, Varly has been downplayed throughout the series.

Maybe the Caps didn't sing the praises of the now-21-year-old goalie to keep the pressure off of him.  Or, it could be that the lack of Rangers shots may the job a little easier.  Only one NYR shot found the goalie in the third period last night.

It was a bizarre series from the perspective of the goaltenders.  Ranger fans went from chanting "Henry, clap clap, Henry" through the second g...
