Mark Recchi does what players who once played for other teams do, he burned his old team. The only question is, did Recchi actually shoot the puck or did Joe Corvo? Either way, it's all good as the puck gets past Cam Ward.
Phil Kessel is wide open, minutes later, and sinks a beautiful pass on the long side as the Bruins claim a 2-0 lead.
The Bruins look like they've decided to show up for this game, and now, it appears that Carolina is in reaction mode.
Chara plays the human bulldozer, another factor that's been missing, pushing the puck into Cam Ward and culminating in a Phil Kessel rebound (his second of the game).
