The Detroit Red Wings made a bold statement on Thursday night that they will not go down in this year’s playoffs without a strong fight.
Many in the hockey world wondered how the defending champions, who finished second in the Western Conference with 112 points this year, would rebound after having the tying goal disallowed on Tuesday in what was a crushing 2-1 loss to the Anaheim Ducks.

Entering game four Detroit, who finished first in goals scored with 295, finally got to Ducks goaltender Jonas Hiller, who up until Thursday has been the main reason why Anaheim held a 2-1 series lead.
